Innaugural alumni member, 2nd LT. Johnny Craver, knew first-hand the importance of the Boys and Girls CLubs in the lives of children. He started attending the McKinney branch (then the Boys Club) at a really early age. Thanks to sports classes the club offered such as karate, boxing, and others, Lt. Craver transformed from a skinny, scrawny and shy little boy into a strong and brave soldier serving his country at the time of his death in October, 2006.
