Youth Of The Month:

Frisco Teen Youth of the Month Ebony Clemon

Bob & Joy Darling Frisco Branch Teen Center Congratulates EBONY CLEMON as Youth of the Month for April 2009!

Kevin - Plano Club Alumni

Kevin spent 10 years as a club member and now he is a staff member! “It’s like a second home to me,” he says. “It feels good because a lot of kids look up to me and they’re always watching me no matter what I do.”

This alumni member enjoys checkers, foosball and basketball. He also likes to assist the children on field trips to bowl, swim, roller-skate or play miniature golf.

His work at the club not only earned him a leadership role as a member, he was also named Youth of the Year for his efforts.

Kevin hopes to pass along some of the lessons he learned growing up in the clubs. “…the same things I’ve been taught: to follow the rules and listen, listen to what the other person is saying and to be open to new ideas,” he explains.

“I recognized a long time ago he had excellent leadership skills,” Karen Johnson, the Plano Branch Director describes. “He has taken Keystone to another level.” The Keystone Club delivers food baskets to the elderly residents during Thanksgiving and Christmas, organizes back-to-school drives to collect school supplies, participates in trash pickups around town and sometimes says the Pledge of Allegiance at Plano City Hall.

Kevin’s success can be much accredited to the club however his parents played an important part in his life. He admits that they are his biggest inspiration and that he joined the Plano club simply because his parents worked. He came to love being a member just as many of our kids do!
