Making a donation through a planned gift is a great way to create a legacy of support while providing for your own future.

Planned giving has significant benefits to you, the donor. When you make a planned gift to the BGCCC you will:

• Potentially increase your income
• Provide a way satisfying your personal and financial goals

Did you know that

• You don't have to use cash to make your gift - donate appreciated securities instead. The deduction is the same as a cash gift and you pay no capital gains tax on the transfer.
• Realize Tax benefits now and a lifetime of income for the donor and beneficiary - invest in a charitable gift annuity, which may help you avoid estate taxes, potentially avoid capital gains taxes, and you will receive an income tax deduction for the gift.
• Give an asset that may help us more than it helps you - such as a life insurance policy whose coverage your family no longer needs, or real estate like a second home or a parcel of undeveloped land, or even a collection of books or artwork you no longer have room to display.
• You can make a gift that costs you nothing during your lifetime - name the BGCCC as the beneficiary of your will, revocable trust or of your retirement plan.
• You can make the BGCCC a partner in your giving - you can deed us your home but continue to live there, or you can sell us property at a charitable discount.
