April 17 2007 - McKinney Wal-Marts announce Boys and Girls Clubs as beneficiaries of annual Golf Classic tournament

In a strong belief to support the community for which they serve, Wal-Mart locations at McKinney Ranch Pkwy, Redbud Blvd., and Custer Road selected the Boys and Girls Clubs of Collin County as beneficiaries of their annual McKinney Wal-Mart Golf Classic tournament. The tournament was held on April 17, 2007 at the Hills Course at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club.

The 2007 Wal-Mart Golf Classic ran in a shotgun scramble format that included a fabulous day of golf with great food, exciting tee gifts, and raffles for unique and valuable prizes. Over 130 corporate and community sponsors participated in the tournament raising a total of $71,000 for BGCCC programs and services at its five branches in McKinney, Plano, and Frisco.
