Message from our CEO

Thankful for Support of Every Kind

As the Summer programs of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Collin County close we are thankful for the unbelievable support we have received that enables us to serve hundreds and hundreds of young people. We are proud that each evening when Mom or Dad pick up their children who have been at the clubs from 7:00am to 6:00 pm, they know their children have been well taken care of and provided with a full day of activities, programs, field trips, meals in a safe and nurturing environment. We do this thanks to thousands of supporters, corporate and individual, who provide monetary and volunteer help.

The support of over 1,600 riders who participated in the Collin Classic Bike Rally in our first year to host the event is a perfect example of great support. The Rally had to be moved to July 22 because of work being done on the Lake Lavon dam which is a favorite part of the ride. Moving the date, the extreme heat, plus vacation impacts, kept us from meeting our 2,000+ rider goal. Thanks to the support of the biking community we had a very successful event and look forward to the 2018 Rally. We enjoyed a record number of sponsors and appreciative The Andrea Mennen Family Foundation (TAFF), our presenting sponsor. Special thanks to all the riders, sponsors, biking organizations, and bike companies for their support. View Pictures

Support came in many forms from a special night at the Dr. Pepper Ball Park with The Frisco Rough Riders players auctioning off their jerseys to a “Dunk Tank” fundraiser on a hot July evening at the Frisco Rail Yard. A few days later, Snuffers Restaurant in Plano opened in a new location and thanks to a great group of owners from the Firebird Restaurant Group, we received many donations from guests dining during the soft opening.

With our Back to School Programs you have an opportunity to help us prepare for the new school year and supporting the over 3,020 members who will be back to school in a few weeks. We have worked hard to improve our facilities which are a second home to many. Many corporations are helping us with back pack programs and recently over 150 BGCCC students from all three of our locations received back packs, full of school supplies as well as a fun back to school afternoon with games, pizza, face painting and many other activities that was hosted by the Toyota Financial Services group at our McKinney facility. We appreciated Mike Groff, CEO and a team of volunteers for making a great day for our kids.

For our kids,
Mike Simpson
