Character & Leadership Development
Development of character and leadership skills is crucial in helping our youth become responsible, successful and caring citizens in their communities. Character and Leadership programs provided by the BGCCC teach these skills by providing opportunities for planning, decision-making, and methods for contributing to their local Club and community. These programs also teach the necessary skills for participating in the democratic process and celebrating our national heritage.
Education & Career Development
Education and Career programs help youth create aspirations for the future by becoming proficient in basic educational disciplines, apply learning to everyday situations and embrace technology to achieve success with future employment and a career.
Health & Life Skills
These initiatives help youth to achieve and maintain healthy, active lifestyles and build skills to prevent at-risk behavior.
Sports/Fitness and Recreation
Programs in this area develop fitness, positive use of leisure time, skills for stress management, appreciation for the environment and social skills.
Youth today can develop their creativity and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of visual and tactile arts and crafts including photography, performing arts, and creative writing. Performing arts includes dance classes with Chamberlin Ballet from Plano.
These premier programs are for teenagers and are designed to create and maintain high standards of character and leadership, citizenship, health and education in order for teenagers to grow into responsible, productive adults.
