We announced in our last newsletter that we will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary of serving children in Collin County and the North Texas Area all year long and into April of 2019. During 2018 there will be new events and new programs designed to not only celebrate the years of support by our communities, but to position us to serve hundreds of more children in our existing and planned facilities.
We kicked off our celebration by announcing our 50th Anniversary at our recent Charity Poker Tournament on March 22 at Gleneagles Country Club. Thanks to all the sponsors and players that participated and made this tournament our most successful event since starting seven years ago. Because of your support, we raised over $70,000 in net revenues that will go a long way in helping us to scholarship new members and to help towards our program to replace aging vans and buses.
We were honored to have Dallas Cowboy, #31 Free Safety, Byron Jones attend and express his support of our clubs and the children we serve and to thank the players and sponsors for their attendance. We have been honored to have Byron at other events and appreciate him taking his time to support the thousands of children in our clubs.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP US SPREAD THE WORD
During our 50th Anniversary year we are looking to build greater awareness and support by building our social media programs, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn sites. In addition, increase our list of those receiving our monthly newsletter, e-Blasts and who visit our website.
