Stand-out Shonquala Evans was named April’s Youth of the Month because of her positive attitude and the influence she has over other club members.  She also has respect for our staff. Shonquala is a 13 year old student at Evans Middle School where her favorite subject is Math. Because she has an interest in learning more about how the human mind works, Shonquala plans to go to college and study psychology. At EMS, Shonquala is an active member of the track and field team, but she aspires to play in the WNBA. "I am extremely good at running because I practice," she says. 

When asked about her favorite thing at the Club, Shonquala responded, "I like the Club because the staff teaches me things that will help me in the real world."

When she is not at the Club, Shonquala is at home reading. Her favorite book is Lost and Found—Bluford High.  She also enjoys Mexican food, Sprite, chocolate cake and the tv show Boomdocks.
